LindiSims

OPEN BY INTENTION

Clear foundations.
Clear rights.

We plan to publish selected simulation software as open source and develop other specialist products under separate commercial agreements. For now, this website explains our direction. We have not released a physics engine or SDK.

The identified website code and documentation use Apache License 2.0. Our logo and editorial artwork have separate terms. AI-generated content still needs checks for ownership, third-party rights and technical accuracy.

Open source

Apache License 2.0 lets people use, modify and redistribute software covered by that license, including in commercial projects, as long as they follow its terms. It includes a defined patent grant, redistribution requirements, warranty disclaimers and limits on trademark use. You do not need a separate paid license from LindiSims to use our Apache-licensed code commercially.

What is not covered automatically?

Our brand, promotional imagery, third-party materials and future commercial products have their own terms. A software license does not grant permission to present a project as an official LindiSims product. We review the sources and licenses of each package before release.

Model and data claims

For research and synthetic-data products, we plan to explain what the model represents, how tests can be repeated, which measurements support it and where its limits are. Verification checks that software meets its specified requirements; validation evaluates model behavior against evidence relevant to a particular use. The pictures on this site are concept artwork, not simulation results.

When a product is released, its own license, documentation and test results will provide the details you need to decide whether it fits your project.
